Custom assets made for the game Cities:Skylines. I was only responsible for the building or asset pictured, the rest of the scenes (other buildings, props, roads, trees, vehicles etc) show art from the vanilla game or other workshop creators and artists too.
Models were created in 3dsmax, and texture creation entirely in Photoshop. My general approach is to create a trimsheet/atlas texture first, or in tandem with the early blocking models. In this way, unnecessary texture elements can be culled early or split to another sheet, and missing elements can be added - trying to minimize wasted space throughout the entire process. Working from a trimsheet also helps to create variant models or entirely new buildings which share the same material set, which helps when trying to balance detail and memory usage.
